<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antireflective film with a cleaning function. <P>SOLUTION: The optical component is constructed by arranging protrusions and recesses composed of a binder containing photocatalyst particles with a period shorter than a wavelength of light passing through a base material on the base material. A sufficient cleaning function is obtained with exposure of the photocatalyst particles on the surface, and at the same time, an effect of lowering an apparent refractive index to obtain a sufficient antireflective function is brought about. Furthermore, the optical component has the antireflective effect and the cleaning function, and useful for image pickup devices of various electronic apparatuses represented by a digital camera, a mobile camera etc., for lenses for optical pickups, and for various display devices. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
