<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of maintaining a high image quality by stabilizing rotation of a plurality of driving and driven rotating rollers around which a multi-purpose endless belt member is hung on, thereby stabilizing the running speed of a belt member. <P>SOLUTION: The endless belt member 22 is hung between the driving roller 21 and the driven roller 24 and revolved. A rotational axial line for the driven roller 24 is made slidable, and tension for the belt member 22 is increased by a belt tension spring 26. An inertia 30 (inertia increasing means) is attached coaxially to the driven roller 24 and is made to have the greatest rotating inertia force among the rotating rollers including the driving roller 21. Thus the running revolutionary speed of the belt member 22 is stabilized, and an image of high image quality can be formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
