<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating machine drive unit which can perform sure protection without increasing parasitic inductance when an overcurrent is detected with respect to a current flowing to an inverter circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A fuse 9 is arranged between the output end of the inverter circuit 6 and a motor generator 3, and both the output end and the motor generator are made to be surely open by welding the fuse 9 when the overcurrent is generated. By arranging the fuse 9 in this position, the fuse 9 does not act as the parasitic inductance when an IGBT 81 which constitutes the inverter circuit 6 performs switching, and thereby an increase in switching surge can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
