PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet holding fixture and a method of holding a sheet-form base material which can stably hold the sheet-form base material without contacting with its central portion where vias and the like are likely to occur. SOLUTION: The sheet holding fixture 1 is provided with a body 3 and a pin 4. The body 3 assumes a frame structure, and an opening 5 is formed on a first surface 3a where a sheet-form base material 2 is placed. The pin 4 is formed on the peripheral edge of the opening 5, and extrudes in the vertical direction with respect to the first surface 3a. The sheet holding fixture 1 can hold the sheet-form base material 2 while holding the central portion of the sheet-form base material 2 without contacting with it. Also, a through-hole 2a is formed in the peripheral edge of the sheet-form base material 2 such that the through-hole 2a of the sheet-form base material 2 can be engaged with the pin 4 of the sheet-form base material 2, allowing the sheet holding fixture 1 to hold the sheet-form base material 2 without possibility of dropping it.
