PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intuitively recognize an imaging range without regard to differences of audience ratings by a photographer while effectively utilizing an output of a recording imaging element when displaying, through switching, an object image by the recording imaging element and by an object image observation imaging element in a digital camera capable of through image display. SOLUTION: There is provided a through image relating portion 50 which can select first through image display operation where through image operation is performed, based on image data acquired by an object image recording main CCD 221 and second through image display operation where through image display operation is performed, based on image data acquired by an in-finder CCD 279 disposed in an object image observation finder optical system, and which processes image data acquired by the in-finder CCD 279 in response to the audience rating.
