PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of improving the operability of inserting and ejecting a disk. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus including a main body section with an imaging section and a recording section capable of recording an imaged image on a recording disk medium, the recording section is provided with a slit-like opening to/from which the recording medium can be inserted or ejected in a direction in parallel with a side face of the main body section, the opening of the recording section is formed by notching ends of the opening, and at least one of the one end and the other end of the opening is located with an offset in an inserting direction of the recording medium from a center of the opening.
