PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the apparatus from being made large due to its light source, in a radiation detecting apparatus. SOLUTION: The radiation detecting apparatus comprises: a substrate 2 on which a plurality of pixels each including a transducer element for transducing radiation into an electric signal, are arranged; a light source 7 for irradiating the transducer element with light; and an optical waveguide 6 for propagating the light from the light source 7 to the transducer element. The light source 7 is disposed inside the optical waveguide 6.
