PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape for packing an optical part which is suitable for an automated line and protects the optical area face of the optical part. SOLUTION: This tape for packing an optical part is provided with a carrier tape 2 having a storage part 3 for storing an optical part 10 at even intervals in the lengthwise direction, a cover tape 5 covering the tape 2 and an adhesive agent 6 for holding the part 10 stored in the part 3 with no movement. By this, the part 10 is mountable by an automatic mounter. In addition, because the optical part stored in the part 3 is held by the agent 6 with no movement, the part 10 does not contact a packing material such as the embossed carrier tape 2 during transportation and a damage to the corner of the part 10 is prevented, which eliminates the possibility of the deterioration of the optical characteristic of the optical part owing to adhesion of chips or fragments of the optical part generated by breakage to the optical area face.
