PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant crash protection device for a vehicle capable of realizing quick forced displacement of a seat back to a proper position without giving a bad influence to reclining adjustment of the seat back and without complicating constitution. SOLUTION: This occupant crash protection device for the vehicle is provided with an assist spring to energize the seat back 22 in a forward bending direction on a seat which is its loading object, has a voltage switching circuit 34 free to apply two kinds of high and low driving voltage to a motor and is devised to drive the motor in the forward bending direction of the seat back at high speed by applying the high voltage by switching the driving voltage in the voltage switching circuit when a precognitive signal from a collision precognition means 28 is input to a control means and it is judged by a signal from an angle detection means 30 that an inclination of the seat back is bent backward at more than a proper angleαl.
