The invention is concerned with dicarboxamide derivatives of formula (I) wherein R<SUP>1</SUP>, R<SUP>2</SUP>, R<SUP>3</SUP>, R<SUP>4</SUP>, R<SUP>5 </SUP>and R<SUP>6 </SUP>are as defined in the specification, as well as physiologically acceptable salts thereof. These compounds inhibit the coagulation factor Xa and can be used in pharmaceutical compositions.
