<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical disk material of high quality for recycling collected optical disks or waste optical disks comprising a substrate made of a polycarbonate resin as an optical disk material, and also to provide an optical disk material. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an optical disk material comprises (a) a step of determining whether or not a substrate material resin is a homopolymer of 2,2-bis (4-hydroxyphenyl) propane (bisphenol A), (b) a step of determining whether bisphenol A is manufactured by an interfacial polymerization method or by an ester exchange method, and (c) a step of removing impurities by a chemical treatment of a polycarbonate resin prepared by an interfacial polymerization method, and remaining amounts of alkaline metals, alkaline earth metals and iron type metals are 1 ppm or lower and those of other heavy metals are 1 ppm or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
