PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a controller for an air conditioner with high operability. SOLUTION: The controller for the air conditioner is provided with a remote control 11 having an input part 3, a control determination input part 13, and a transmission part 6 transmitting a signal from the input part 3 or the control determination input part 13 to the air conditioner 14, and the air conditioner 14 having a reception part 7 receiving the signal, a control part 15 carrying out control based upon the signal, a speech generating part 9 generating a speech signal based upon a speech output signal from the control part 15, and a speech output part 10 outputting speech based upon the speech signal. The signal is composed of a remote control signal based upon input of the input part 3, and a control determination signal based upon input of the control determination input part 13. It is characterized by that, after speech based upon the remote control signal is outputted by a speech output part 10, if the control determination signal is received by the reception part 7, a control setting of the air conditioner 14 is changed by the control part 15.
