PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity antenna device in which diversity effect can be enhanced easily by complementing directivity and miniaturization can be attained easily. SOLUTION: The diversity antenna device 2 comprises a small substrate 7 mounted on the major surface 1a of a mother substrate 1, an antenna element 9 made of a sheet metal and also serving as a cover for covering the circuit component 8 group of a high frequency circuit provided on the small substrate 7, and a chip antenna element 4 mounted on the major surface 1a of the mother substrate 1. The antenna element 9 also serving as a cover is provided with a radiation conductor plate 11 arranged substantially in parallel with the mother substrate 1, and a feeding leg piece 12 and grounding short circuit leg pieces 13, 14 extending from the radiation conductor plate 11 to the mother substrate 1 side. Both antenna elements 9 and 4 are excited by connecting the high frequency circuit with the feeding leg piece 12 of the antenna element 9 also serving as a cover and the feeding section of the chip antenna element 4 and supplying a feeding signal.
