PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decrease of output capacity in spite of increase in number of parts even if the output voltage is raised; to enable conversion to high output voltage; and to reduce loss of a conversion system. SOLUTION: This power conversion apparatus includes: a plurality of independent D.C. voltage sources 1, 2; and a plurality of power converters 3, 4 provided corresponding to the respective D.C. voltage sources and adapted to control the D.C. voltage input from the concerned D.C. voltage source and convert the same to different D.C. voltage, wherein the output sides of the respective power converters 3, 4 are serially connected to each other so that the sum of D.C. voltages output from the respective power converters is applied to the load 5.
