PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which updates pages of an image composed of a plurality of pages to be displayed on a display face sequentially from a scanned region in accordance with movement of light which scans the display face to optically read the image. SOLUTION: An electronic mobile terminal 100 includes: a data input means 10 to which data of the image is input; a storage means 15 where inputted data of the image is stored; a drawing data generation means 20 which generates drawing data of page units from data of the image stored in the storage means 15; a reflective display means 25 which is constituted of pixel arrays and has a display memory property of holding display contents on the display face during non-supply of power and displays drawing data of page units; a detection means 50 which is disposed around the display face and detects movement of scanning light scanning the display face along pixel arrays, on the basis of illuminance of incident light; and a page updating means 40 which receives the detected movement of scanning light to rewrite pages of the image displayed by the display means, sequentially per pixel array.
