PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper device which improves rigidity and strength of a frame for a building structure and for a wooden structure, facilitates the execution of work, keeps an equivalent damping constant large and an energy absorbing effect high, makes high a degree of freedom of design concerning rigidity, durability, damping amount, deformation capability or the like, and materializes maintenance-free from aspects of a material and function. SOLUTION: A damper device 1 is equipped with an energy absorption unit structure 1-1 in which an outer cylindrical rigid member 12 is arranged in the outer peripheral side of an inner cylindrical rigid member 13 so as to surround it and the inner and outer rigid members 12, 13 are integrally coupled to each other so as to be relatively deformable by interposing a viscoelastic energy absorber 14 therebetween.
