PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the motion and positioning accuracy of a moving body by minimizing load and vibration which are generated with the movement of the moving body and transmitted from a cable holding member to the moving body. SOLUTION: This cable supporting guide comprises the cable holding member 14 having a fixed side end (one end) supported by a fixing member 15a and a movable side end (the other end) E1 supported by an X-axis slider (the moving body) 9, for supporting a cable 26 to guide it to be moved while bending its midway portion in a plane along the moving direction of the X-axis slider 9, a first connection member 17 fixed to the X-axis slider 9 and provided with a locking body 17b having a pair of planes perpendicular to the moving direction thereof, and a second connection member 18 fixed to the movable side end E1 of the cable holding member 14, provided with a pair of spherical bodies 21, 21 rollingly abutting on the pair of planes with the locking body 17b of the first connection member 17 therebetween, and adapted to be moved in linkage with the first connection member 17.
