PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane pump capable of effectively using all of working fluid discharged from a vane part and applicable to a hydraulic apparatus requiring a large flow rate, having less torque loss and capable of preventing cavitation from being caused by insufficient suction. SOLUTION: The vane pump 10 pressurizes the working fluid at the vane part 7 and discharges it and is adapted to accelerate return working fluid QR flowing through a return opening 1 by throttling it through a throttle valve 4, cause the working fluid QT from a suction opening 3 to be sucked by the accelerated return working fluid QR and cause the return working fluid QR and the working fluid QT from a tank to be fed into the vane part 7.
