PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a simple discharge checking to be performed by a simple constitution regarding a discharge checking method for checking the discharge pressure, the discharge amount, or the like of a hydrant device which is provided, e.g., in a tunnel or the like. SOLUTION: This hydrant device is equipped with a hydrant valve, and a fire extinguishing hose which is provided on the secondary side of the hydrant valve, and has a nozzle on the distal end section. The hydrant device has a joint with which the fire extinguishing hose is connected on the secondary side of the hydrant valve. The fire extinguishing hose is removed from the joint, and at the same time, a discharge checking device is connected with the joint, and the discharge checking for the hydrant device is performed by the discharge checking device. By disconnecting the fire extinguishing hose at the joint, and connecting the discharge checking device with the joint, the easy discharge checking can be performed by the simple constitution.
