PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamable powdery detergent composition that maintains high foamability even if stored for a long period of time and is restrained of caking in a storage container. SOLUTION: The foamable powdery detergent composition contains an inorganic carbonate, a water-soluble solid acid and particles of inorganic sodium sulfate. Of the inorganic sodium sulfate particles, 85% by mass or more are particles that can pass through the screen having an aperture of 150μm, and the content ratio of the inorganic carbonate to the water-soluble solid acid is in the range of 4:1-1:3 by mass ratio.
