Disclosed is a gas barrier laminate which is obtained by arranging an inorganic thin film layer on a base film and greatly improved in gas barrier property and gelboflex property. Specifically disclosed is a gas barrier laminate comprising a base film containing at least one substance selected from polyvinyl alcohols and ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymers, and an anchor coat layer and an inorganic thin film layer sequentially formed on one side of the base film. This gas barrier film is characterized in that the base film is composed of a biaxially stretched film having a thickness variation of not more than 3.5 µm and a crystallinity of not less than 30%.
