METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF BODY PIGMENT DISPERSION FOR OIL PRINTING, BODY PIGMENT DISPERSION FOR OIL PRINTING PRODUCED BY THE METHOD, AND USE OF THE DISPERSION

Disclosed are: a method for production of a body pigment dispersion for oil printing, which does not cause no scattering of a body pigment and can achieve the improvement in productivity and the reduction in cost; a body pigment dispersion for oil printing which can prevent a printed matter from being stained and is produced by the method; and use of the dispersion. The method comprises the steps of: mixing an aqueous suspension (A) containing a surface-untreated body pigment in an amount of 20-80% by mass with at least one surface modifier selected from the group consisting of a fatty acid, a salt of a fatty acid, a titanate coupling agent and a silane coupling agent and then agitating the resulting mixture, thereby treating the surface of the body pigment; and adding an oil printing varnish to the slurry-type aqueous suspension (B) formed after the surface treatment, flashing the resulting mixture and then removing moisture from the mixture.
