A vacuum envelope and an electron emission display device using the same are provided to minimize deformation of substrates due to compression force by optimizing a height of a spacer. A first substrate and a second substrate are placed opposite to each other, and a side frame(6) is placed on edges of the first and second substrates. A first spacer(81) is placed in an effective region between the first and second substrates, and a second spacer(82) is placed outside the effective region. A height difference of the first and second spacers is within 50 micrometers, and a height difference between the first spacer and the side frame is within 50 micrometers.
