<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of notifying an external device of at least the state of the image processor by keeping a communicable state with the external device even in an energy saving state. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor includes an energizing switch circuit 10 for individually switching whether energizing is performed or not independently from the energizing relative to an NIC 5 with respect to respective functional blocks 6-9 for performing jobs. The NIC 5 controls the energizing switch circuit 10 so as to control the energizing state of each functional block 6-9. When a request for notifying energizing information concerning the energizing state of each functional block is received from the external device, the NIC 5 sets the energizing information, which includes: the existence of energization in each functional block; and a subsequent stop plan time or a subsequent start plan time, etc., by weekly timer control, for example, in response to the classification of a request source (the external device), and then, notifies the energizing information to the external device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
