<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump for fuel supply improving assembling property of a valve seat part in a fuel suction valve and excellent in reliability with respect to fuel leakage from the inside of a fuel pressurizing chamber. <P>SOLUTION: The pump for fuel supply comprises: the fuel pressurizing chamber disposed in a pump housing; the fuel suction valve fixed to the pump housing so as to supply the fuel to the fuel pressurizing chamber; and a plunger for pressurizing the fuel in the fuel pressurizing chamber. The fuel suction valve includes: a valve element; the valve seat part having a suction passage of fuel and a fuel reservoir chamber and slid with and holding the valve element; an urging means having one end fixed to the valve seat part and the other end fixed to the valve element so as to urge the valve element; and a holder part having a space part in which the urging means is housed and held so as to fix the fuel suction valve to the pump housing.
