<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink composition which can simultaneously achieve dispersion stability (storage stability) and excellent printing quality (i.e., a reduction in ununiformity of shading, bleeding, strike-through and the like), and particularly excels in color development. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous ink composition comprises at least a coloring component, a resin emulsion, and water, and the coloring component is a pigment which is subjected to surface treatment so as for at least one kind of the functional groups represented by formula (1) and their salts to directly or indirectly attach to the surface and is rendered dispersible in water without a dispersing agent, and the above resin emulsion has a hydroxyl number of 50 or more and an acid value of 50 or less and comprises a resin component having a glass transition temperature of 30°C or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
