摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device permitting further miniaturization of a mechanism part for compensating for spherical aberration, and permitting arrangement of components with space saving and high degree of freedom. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup device comprises: an objective lens 22 for condensing the light from an LD 21 on a signal recording layer of an optical disk; a lens body 28 which is located in an optical path from the LD 21 to the objective lens 22 and makes the luminous flux diameter of the light from the LD 21 variable; a return prism 26 which is located in an optical path from the LD 21 to the lens body 28 and refracts the light path at least two times or more; and a prism driving part 27 which moves the return prism 26 in the direction of causing no misalignment of the light path axis with respect to the LD 21 and the lens body 28, and a refractive angle of the light path in the return prism 26, and positional arrangements of the lens body 27 and the LD 21 are established so that variation in the optical path length from the LD 21 to the lens body 28 is larger than a moving amount of the return prism 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
