PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for shear reinforcement for a reinforced concrete member capable of increasing a shear strength by surely securing the bearing fixing force of a reinforcement member. SOLUTION: A reinforcement member 22 comprises a bar-like reinforcement material 23 and four bearing mechanisms 24a, 24b, 24c, 24d installed on the outer periphery of the reinforcement material 23. The reinforcement member is so disposed that its axial direction is generally parallel with the acting direction of a shear force. The reinforcement material 23 comprises a reinforcement made of a steel material. The bearing mechanism 24 comprises a disk-like fixing plate made of a steel material, and is so mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the reinforcement 23 as to be extended outward.
