PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the effect of improvement of a machine body stability relative to the amount of movement of a counterweight without narrowing the pitch of mounting of the counterweight to a rotary frame when a construction machine, in which an upper rotary body is rotatably supported by a lower traveling body, is structured so that the counterweight can be moved backward upon carrying out the work with a large work load and so on. SOLUTION: The rotary frame 6 comprises a front side rotary frame 7 to which a working machine and a rotary bearing are fitted, and a rear side rotary frame 8 fitted to the front side rotary frame 7 to be movable back and forth.
