PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door which can be hung in a balanced manner without the need for an extra space below a door member even in the case of the heavy door member, and which can be smoothly and stably moved. SOLUTION: This sliding door comprises a plurality of approximately plate-like door members 30, and an approximate linear hanging rail 21 which is arranged above the door members 30. A bracket 40, which is elongated from the approximately upper part of each of the door members 30, is slidably engaged with a guide streak of the hanging rail 21, so that the hanging rail 21 can support the door member 30 from above and contribute to the opening/closing of the door by guiding the direction enabling the movement of the door member 30. The brackets 40 of the respective door members 30 are arranged in a plurality of places including two places near both the sliding-direction ends of the door member 30, respectively.
