PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of bubbles accumulated in a rinse tank 4 in a recovered water washing process of an electrodeposition coating. SOLUTION: In the washing method of a material 3 to be coated in the electrodeposition coating, the material 3 is dipped in an electrodeposition solution and thereafter is rinsed, and rinsings 10 produced by rinse of the material 3 are recovered into the rinse tank 4, wherein the rinsings 10 are introduced to the rinse tank 4 with a plurality of antifoaming members 7 floating therein.
