PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum packaging device capable of generating the auxiliary force in the direction opposite to the direction of the urging force even when providing a mechanism for generating the urging force by a spring for opening a lid, easily closing the lid without any large force, and reducing the burden on a worker. SOLUTION: A closing operation supporting mechanism 40 for generating the auxiliary force in the direction opposite to the direction of the urging force in the opening direction in an opening spring mechanism by supporting the closing operation of a lid 21 is provided on a lower end portion of an arm 24 extending downward from a hinge mechanism 22 mounting side of the lid 21. A vacuum pump 15 is connected to the closing operation supporting mechanism 40 via a vacuum piping 42 and a three-way solenoid valve 41 for evacuation to generate the auxiliary force, and the operational force for sealing the lid 21 is reduced by the portion of the auxiliary force.
