A method is provided including preparing an animal repellent composition and applying it to vegetation. The animal repellent composition may be comprised of mentha piperita (peppermint oil), hydrogenated vegetable oil, garlic oil, white pepper, and gum arabic as a thickener/emulsifier and natural sticking/adherent agent. Additionally, whole or powdered eggs, vinegar and water can be added to the animal repellent composition. The animal repellent composition can be applied by spraying it on all vegetation needing protection from animals.
