PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pocket forming member for a vehicle capable of enhancing the production efficiency and precluding undeliberate separation of elastic cords hitched at hitching projections arranged in each coupling position of a left and a right side frame with a bottom frame at the time of transit. SOLUTION: The pocket forming member for the vehicle is equipped with a frame construction having the left and right side frames and the bottom frame to couple them together at their bottoms, an elastic net member held by the left and right side frames and the bottom frame, a net coupling groove formed at the rear surface of the frame construction in such a way as stretching in the longitudinal direction, retaining grooves formed in the range from the inner edges of the side frames and the bottom frame to the net coupling groove for pinching a pair of elastic cords which constitute the mesh of the net member, and the hitching projections formed upright in the net coupling groove to admit hitching of the mesh of the net member, wherein those of the projections which are located in the coupling positions of the left and right frames with the bottom frame are equipped with a hitching frame whereby the spacing of the two elastic cords is widened more than the spacing of the retaining grooves and columnar hitching projections each having a diametrically enlarged head part.
