PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush cutter which simultaneously cuts soft grass and small sized trees and is suitable for cutting grass from roots, a linear blade rotary unit and a tabular rotary blade used for the brush cutter. SOLUTION: The brush cutter 1 is equipped with an operation rod 2 having a drive shaft 6 at the tip, the linear blade rotary unit 5 connected to the drive shaft 6 below the tip, the tabular rotary blade 4 installed between the operation rod 2 and the linear blade rotary unit 5 and having a blade 4a on the periphery, and a regulation unit 22 for regulating a position of the tabular rotary blade 4 to the linear blade rotary unit by engaging with the tabular rotary blade 4 on the upper surface of the linear blade rotary unit 5.
