The connector has a film hinge forming an articulation (14) that is provided between carriers (15, 16) for clamping jaws (17, 18) and contact carriers (4). The articulation obtains integral design of the contact carriers and a strain relief device (2), so that the carriers are movable from a position, which is directed transverse to a longitudinal center plane of the contact carriers, into an operating position, which is directed parallel to the longitudinal center plane of the contact carriers.
