The device (1) has a reinforcement unit (2) that is partially adapted to an outer contour of an un-deformed infant head. The reinforcement unit is mirror- symmetrically formed along a symmetry plane (8) that runs through front and rear head regions. The reinforcement unit is manufactured from a stiff material and includes carbon fiber. The reinforcement unit is connected with a positioning device (3) that is formed from a flexible material, where the positioning device predefines position of the reinforcement unit relative to the infant head.
