METHOD OF FORMING ORGANIC MOLECULAR FILM STRUCTURE AND ORGANIC MOLECULAR FILM STRUCTURE

A method of forming an organic molecular film structure, and organic molecular film structure, attaining not only maintaining of desirable functions peculiar to organic materials but also reduction of the film thickness. There is provided a method of forming an organic molecular film structure through forming of an organic molecular film on a substrate, characterized by including the steps of (i) making a chemical bond between the surface of substrate (10) and first organic molecule (12a) to thereby form monomolecular film (12) containing the first organic molecule (12a); and (ii) bringing second organic molecule (15) into contact with the monomolecular film (12) to thereby have the second organic molecule (15) incorporated in the monomolecular film (12). Accordingly, there can be obtained an organic molecular film attaining not only maintaining of desirable functions peculiar to organic materials but also reduction of the film thickness.
