<p>A method for multiplexing and demultiplexing optical wavelengths in the dense wavelength divisions multiplexed (DWDM) optical communication system, including follow steps: A) Using filters to pick out the signal wavelengths in deadband regions; B) According to a specific wavelength, the residual signal wavelengths are separated into two spectral bands, namely, the wavelengths longer than the specific wavelength and the wavelengths shorter than the specific wavelength; C) After the separating, the respective individual signal wavelengths of the residual signal wavelengths are demultiplexed by independent filters.The method prevents the wavelengths in deadband regions from wasting; wavelengths upgrading will be more flexible, In initial configuration, the wavelength distribution is relatively uniform; Arbitrary group of the wavelengths can be multiplexed and demultiplexed.</p> |
