<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system using an imaging device 2 and LEDs of a controller 20. <P>SOLUTION: In the game system 1, the imaging device 2 photographs the controller 20. The controller 20 has LEDs for representing controller numbers set for the controller 20 in a game application to be performed, and periodically repeats turning on/off of light emitting devices according to a lighting pattern prescribed corresponding to the set controller number. A user recognizes this turning on/off to be continuous. On the other hand, turning on/off is set in a period allowing imaging of turning-on states and turning-off states continuously and alternatively by the imaging device 2. A game device 10 determines that the controller 20 is present inside an imaging space of the camera device 2 based on images continuously taken by the imaging device 2 in a specified imaging speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
