<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, method, and program for receiving a digital signal, capable of generating accurate color difference signals even when a received digital video signal is not accurately in compliance with the standard. <P>SOLUTION: A color difference processing section 21 recognizes a value of the color difference signal U and a value of the color difference signal V by each pixel from the color difference signals U and V, and allocates a value of a luminance signal Y, and the values of the color difference signals U, V to each pixel. An inversion processing section 22 inverts the recognition by the color difference processing section 21 for the values of the color difference signals U, V allocated to each pixel when the values of the color difference signals U, V recognized by the color difference processing section 21 are to be recognized substantially as the values of the color difference signals U, V.
