PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive modulation control apparatus for selecting a proper modulation and channel coding scheme depending on the magnitude of an interference power and a noise power in addition to either a signal to interference plus noise power ratio or a carrier to interference plus noise power ratio.

SOLUTION: The adaptive modulation control apparatus for selecting one modulation and channel coding scheme among a plurality of modulation and channel coding schemes includes a selection section 320 that receives either the signal to interference plus noise power ratio or the carrier to interference plus noise power ratio as a received power ratio and selects the one modulation and channel coding scheme among the modulation and channel coding schemes on the basis of the received power ratio and an interference power to noise power ratio, which are received.
