PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a kit simple and highly sensitive for measuring appolipoprotein oxide AI and/or HDL (oxide HDL) containing the appolipoprotein oxide AI. SOLUTION: Two kinds of antibodies, composed of the antibody which specifically reacts with an oxide part of the appolipoprotein oxide AI, and the antibody for the appolipoprotein AI or the antibody for a constitutional ingredient of the HDL are used in the method and kit for specifically measuring the appolipoprotein oxide AI and/or HDL (oxide HDL) containing the appolipoprotein oxide existing in a specimen by a sandwich method. By this invention, oxide stress in the living body can be detected. For an analysis of the mechanism or the clinical diagnosis of the oxide stress associated diseases, such as arteriosclerosis, complication disease of a diabetes mellitus (a nephropathy, a neuropathy etc.), the method and the kit can be utilized.
