PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerator pedal unit for an automobile provided with a hysteresis mechanism capable of suppressing production cost by improving an assembling property. SOLUTION: This accelerator pedal unit 1 includes an arm block 2 to integrally hold an accelerator pedal 13 and a base block 7 to support the arm block 2 in a state of being free to revolve the accelerator pedal 13 around a revolution axis 100 as its center. The accelerator pedal unit 1 is provided with a roughly flat plate type hysteresis block 4 constituted to receive an energizing force of a return spring 41 and transmit it to a receiver 22, to rotate by receiving a reaction force from the receiver 22 and to work a contact load in correspondence with the size of the reaction force to the side of the base block 7. The receiver 22 on the accelerator pedal unit 1 has a rotation supporting part 221 to hold the hysteresis block 4 in a state of being free to rotate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
