PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector allowing a reflective surface of a spherical body to be reflected omnidirectionally, and a reflective surface of a flat body to be reflected in the transverse direction even when a wheel is directed in any direction. SOLUTION: An omnidirectionally-reflective reflector is formed, which consists of a spherical body and a flat body with reflective surfaces thereof being fitted to a tadpole-shaped surface. Even when a wheel is directed in any direction, the reflective light can be expected; the reflector is apparently moved in the longitudinal direction by the rotation of the wheel, and the reflective light can be emitted in a longitudinally extensive range; and the reflector achieves the motion of hiding behind a rim or appearing therefrom when a driver of a vehicle sees the wheel when the vehicle runs facing a bicycle or follows the bicycle, the intensity of the reflection is changed to obtain the reflection as if it is blinked. As a result, the safety of a bicycle when it is traveling at night time can be ensured. The reflector is also effective when it is mounted not only on a front wheel of the bicycle but also on a spoke of a rear wheel thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
