PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide particulate dispersion in which oxide particulates are highly dispersed in a polysiloxane-containing organic solvent, without using a 6 or more-C organic group-bearing phosphoric acid or an oxyalkylene group-bearing compound. SOLUTION: The oxide particulate dispersion is obtained by mixing, in an organic solvent in the presence of an acidic compound, a silicon oxide particulate and/or a metal oxide particulate with a multifunctional polysiloxane expressed by average compositional formula: R<SP>1</SP><SB>a</SB>SiO<SB>b</SB>(OR<SP>2</SP>)<SB>c</SB>(1) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a univalent hydrocarbyl group having no oxyalkylene group and, when a plurality of R<SP>1</SP>exist, they may be the same or different; R<SP>2</SP>is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and, when a plurality of R<SP>2</SP>exist, they may be the same or different; a is from more than 0 to less than 2; b is from more than 0 to less than 2; and c is from more than 0 to less than 4; and a+b×2+c=4), and by dispersing the above oxide particulate in the organic solvent.
