A process for preparation of azo dyes by azo coupling with azo constituents and drying. The azo constituent is dispergated in the presence of hydrocarbons of fraction of C10-C27 at the temperature of 20-30 DEGREE C at the amount of 4-12 % by weight of azo constituent with subsequent treatment of reaction mass of diazo compound at the temperature of 40-60 DEGREE C.
