Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) agonists containing as the active ingredient compounds represented by the general formula (I) or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof: wherein a is 0 or 1; n is an integer of 0 to 2; m is an integer of 0 to 5; X¹ and X² are each independently hydrogen or hydroxy; Y is oxygen or sulfur; -Q¹- is -O- or the like; -Q²- is -O- or the like; -Z- is -O- or the like; R¹, R³ and R⁴ are each independently hydroxy or the like; R² and R⁵ are each independently hydrogen, hydroxy or the like; and A is 6-aminopurin-9-yl or the like.
