<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved solid-liquid separation method of industrial waste liquid, to provide a novel storage method of industrial waste liquid, and to provide a novel composite material utilizing industrial waste liquid. <P>SOLUTION: In the solid-liquid separation method of industrial waste liquid, polyvinyl alcohol is dissolved into industrial waste liquid and, thereafter, volcanic ejecta material is mixed into the solution and the mixture is stirred. In the storage method of industrial waste liquid, polyvinyl alcohol is dissolved into industrial waste liquid to prepare a gel-like material. The composite material is provided by drying and solidifying a kneaded material comprising volcanic ejecta material, industrial waste liquid and polyvinyl alcohol.
