<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting tongue incorporating a light source integrated to a tongue housing and including a heat source for selectively heating or cooling a striker part of a tongue. <P>SOLUTION: An occupant restraining system includes a belt, the tongue and a buckle. The belt is extended and withdrawn over a vehicle occupant to protect the occupant. The tongue is connected to the belt. The tongue includes the striker part and the tongue housing. The buckle includes the buckle housing and a latch inserted into the buckle housing. The latch is constituted to mount the striker part of the tongue in the buckle housing.
